Job description
Ensure that the day-to-day activities within the maintenance team are carried out in a safe manner in accordance with the company HSEQ policies.
Ensure that all activities are carried out in conformance with laws and regulations, contractual requirements, relevant management system and asset HSEQ plan.
The Motorman's main responsibilities are the maintenance, repair and safe and proper operation of the different mechanical systems in the engine room.
Accountabilities
- Carry out various jobs in connection with the operation, maintenance and repair of technical matters.
- Daily routines as per instructions from his/her superior
- Watch keeping duties and maintenance on instruction from his/her superior with particular attention to the engine room systems
- Participate in Helideck operations if required
- Participate in daily work planning meetings, preparing / reviewing work control certificates, risk assessments and isolation plans ensuring compliance with control of work procedure and safety rules
- Apply technical knowledge to determine equipment failures and identify appropriate solutions to develop a repair solution for onboard equipment
- Actively participate in safety briefings and toolbox talks
- Carry out such work as has been required by his/her superior and duties in accordance with Offshore Emergency Response Plan (ERP)
Job Requirements
- Education from technical school
- Good English language
Skills and Experience Requirements
- Marine experience from tankers or mobile offshore installations
- Experience with engines, pumps, valves, hydraulic and mechanical systems onshore/offshore
- Committed to the highest level of business ethics and integrity
- Systematic and thorough
- Proactive and positive approach
