Job description
Ensure that the day-to-day activities within the maintenance team are carried out in a safe manner in accordance with the company HSEQ policies.
Ensure that all activities are carried out in conformance with laws and regulations, contractual requirements, relevant Management System and asset HSEQ plan.
Assist the OIM in their functions, perform any duties assigned by them and undertake operational maintenance and repair of the installation
Accountabilities
- Provide leadership, coaching, mentorship and set accountabilities and expectations for all members of the maintenance team, delegating as required. Complete team annual performance reviews and develop training plans as required
- Responsible for all maintenance, vendor and subcontractor activities on the installation including HSEQ, personnel and any employee relation issues
- Responsible for the safety in their area of authority and shall ensure subordinates, including sub-contractors, possess the necessary safety training at any time
- Ensure adequate team competency coverage to carry out safe operations
- Assess maintenance personnel within the Competency Management System
- As Asset integrity focal point, ensure asset integrity through proactive / reactive barriers and SECE’s as defined in the asset ‘Safety Case / Written Scheme of Examination
- Liaise closely with the Independent Competent Person (ICP), Class and Flag State during surveys / audits to ensure regulatory compliance
- Monitor PM backlog and ensure that all SECE maintenance is completed on time, in accordance with asset Performance Standards / KPI targets – raising deferrals where required and ensuring appropriate level of risk assessment carried out
- Responsible for raising any management of change requests and then implementing on approval
- Working closely with onshore support coordinating Risk Based Inspections and Hose Integrity Management
- Take part in reliability discussions with onshore to reduce unplanned equipment failures
- Responsible for raising any management of change requests and then implementing on approval
- Responsible for populating / maintaining an up-to-date register of shu tdown work scopes and planning / preparations
- Participate in incident investigations, populating Synergi as required
- Ensure compliance with safe work procedures and ‘control of work’ in accordance with procedures
- Participate in daily work planning meetings, preparing / reviewing work control certificates, risk assessments and isolation plans assuring compliance with control of work procedure and safety rules
- Participate in permit to work audits and active monitoring
- Continually monitor all Operational / Maintenance KPI related business targets, report where required to onshore to ensure good Client relations
- Ensure comprehensive records / logs are maintained and effective handovers are carried out at shift / crew change
- Effective management of materials, critical spares / stock levels and consumables
- (UK / BR) Responsible for control, distribution and stock of Small Bore Tubing (SBT) fittings and management of register
- Deputize and perform the duties of OIM as / when required
- Carry out duties in accordance with Operations Manual Part 5, Offshore Emergency Response Plan (ERP)
Job Requirements
- Maintenance Supervisor endorsement or Evidence to satisfy IMO Res 1079(28) sect 6.5.
- Fluent English language
Skills and Experience Requirements
- Significant supervisory experience in a Maintenance dept on an offshore installation (FPSO preferred)
- Committed to highest level of business ethics and integrity
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant maintenance management processes, techniques and legislation and apply it in the workplace
- Good leadership skills and be a team player and have a high degree of self and team motivation.
- Excellent communications ability (written and verbal), including handovers and able to set clear expectations and accountabilities
- The ability to maintain effective working relationships between all personnel including operators, vendors, contractors, subordinates, peers, and superiors
- Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of safe system of work systems (ePTW) and participating in assessing the risk management
- Working knowledge of CMMS systems (STAR)
- Experience in competency assessment preferred
